See, I know you’ve never heard this before, but…If loving you is wrong,
I, simply, Just can’t love you, because this flesh is far too temporary for me to trust it,
I know that about nothing in this life comes with guarantees, but, apparently, with red lights, you feel a little bit different walking across that street, than if it were green.
Like saying I Do continually, and I won’t just give up and leave another part of me.
How it startles me, see, that other? I’ve tried it before, was Cheating on Jesus while he watched from the door of my heart-almost left Memphisly-bleek and all I could say was Sorry.
But now, this testimony I may candidly speak, hi my name is Brittany.
I was spiritually promiscuous with pagans, just like Israel, courageously kind of dense-because evidently from the looks of my life, Loving one God just didn’t make much sense.
But He waited on me, patiently.
At the right time, My God prepared to move hastily, He chased me. Sat me down and explained to me- that if I would ever learn to love one man righteously and monogamously that it would start with HIM. And that that man would therefore understand that I am already married to HIM. He who made the universe is he who made me.
Until God blesses you with this gift he calls me I am Not Yours.
Yours to toy with, decoy, all this-not even yours to enjoy, because, see, I desire one who is first His and then mine, what who can love me in and throughout time.
One who loves me differently but just as much as he loves my two kids, Did she say two kids?
(I am the redeemed & I’m saying so). I said two kids.
Someone who has decided in his heart to chase after His.
One who upholds me, and understands that I am his glory, a
And when I can’t speak, he understands the other part of the story.
One who adores me.
And knowing that he can’t yet have me, he’s willing to keep & hold himself for me.
And I will too.
